Getty Images has introduced an innovative generative AI art tool. The company, renowned for its extensive collection of editorial photos, stock images, music, and videos developed the tool in collaboration with Nvidia. This remarkable tool stands tall in the market for its exceptional.
Getty’s AI tool provides photos from text descriptions of the prompt or photo. The company will make its AI-powered photo-generating tool accessible to commercial customers.
Getty Images AI tool provides copyright indemnification
The AI tool called Generative AI by Getty Images is built on the wide library of Getty images, including exclusive content, providing users with full copyright compensation. With this, users creating and publishing images with the tool will enjoy legal protection. Likewise, users will enjoy worldwide and non-exclusive access and use of the images they have created.
Although Getty’s library uses public figures, the company claimed that it has placed safeguards to ensure that the AI tool doesn’t cause misinformation. In that light, the tool leaves a watermark on the photos it creates to show AI generated them.
Getty Images also pointed out that photos from the tool will not be in the content library for licensing by others. However, it has reserved the right to use the generated images to retrain its existing and future models and the creators of the images will get compensations. The company plans to share the proceeds from the app on a pro-rata basis concerning the files.
Users can access the AI tool via Getty Images’ website. The company mentioned that the price of the AI tool will be different from the basic subscription and will be based on the volume of the prompt.
Interestingly, Getty Images has announced plans to empower customers to train the AI model with their own data, enabling them to create images in their unique style. The company projects this feature to roll out later in the year, offering even more creative possibilities to users.
