OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Enterprise– a business-grade version of ChatGPT to cater to businesses. This strategic introduction caters to corporations and enterprises seeking to harness the potential of the chatbot while prioritizing security and privacy considerations. The highly anticipated announcement arrives in response to the increasing adoption of ChatGPT across an astounding 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies, solidifying its foothold since its debut a year ago.
The ChatGPT Enterprise edition not only embodies heightened potency but also stands as the inaugural enterprise-centric offering within the ChatGPT portfolio. Notably, industry trailblazers such as PwC, Carlyle, and Estée Lauder have already embraced the new iteration, positioning themselves at the vanguard of transformative AI implementation.
OpenAI responds to security issues with the new version
Before the release of the new version, several companies including Samsung and JP Morgan Chase have restricted the use of ChatGPT by employees.
ChatGPT Enterprise provides more privacy, security and faster access to the technology. Companies are usually sceptical about using ChatGPT because of fear of the tool exposing sensitive information to other AI models. The company has said that users will have ownership and control over their data with the new version.
Additionally, ChatGPT Enterprise offers a fast data analysis feature that will allow companies to understand information a lot faster as well as the ability to input more complicated questions to the chatbot.
Companies using ChatGPT already can decide to remain with their current options to access the chatbot or switch to the new version if they wish to access the new features. OpenAI has not disclosed the price levels of ChatGPT Enterprise and has directed potential clients to its sales department
Notably, Microsoft had pioneered a business-centric chatbot iteration, the Bing Enterprise, in July—a move that resonates with OpenAI’s dedication to prioritizing privacy. Like ChatGPT Enterprise, the Bing Enterprise also heralds a similar commitment to user data control.
Microsoft had earlier launched a business-centred version of its own Bing chatbot in July called the Bing Enterprise—a move that resonates with OpenAI’s dedication to prioritizing privacy. Like ChatGPT Enterprise, the Bing Enterprise also heralds a similar commitment to user data control.
